Your first visit will include a FREE Foot Health check with vascular and neurological testing. A full medical history will be taken followed by a thorough assessment of your feet. A treatment plan will then be discussed, any questions you may have will be answered, after which your treatment plan is agreed and undertaken. Your plan can include toe nail cutting & filing and the treatment of common foot problems: reduction of callus and hard skin, corn removal, thickened nail reduction, painful or ingrown toenail treatment, treatments to manage fungal skin or nail infections. I will spend up to 60 minutes treating your feet to get them on the way to how you want them to be. Advice will be given on maintaining your foot care between appointments and a soothing foot massage will complete the treatment.
Foot Health Practitioners (FHP’s) are trained to recognise and treat all the common conditions that affect the foot and deliver routine foot care wherever it is needed. They work to ensure your feet stay in a healthy condition by recognising and treating any foot conditions as well as providing advice on day to day foot care. Patients include the young and the old, those with diabetes, arthritis, mobility and eyesight problems as well as those who love to give their feet a treat. Your feet are one of your most important parts of your body and are put under pressure all day long. It is best not to ignore any foot pain and problems, but to see a Foot Health Practitioner at the earliest opportunity. Treatments range from routine nail trimming, corn removal, callus reduction, verrucae, warts and blister treatments, athletes foot, management of ingrown toenails (without invasive surgery), diabetic foot assessment and monitoring, treatment of fungal infections, and general advice and guidance on foot care and footwear. As a FHP’s I offer mobile care in an individual patients own homes, rest homes and nursing homes, or visit places of work for the benefit of employees. Why not treat your employees to routine foot care and ensure that they are comfortable when they are working hard for you?
Foot problems are very common and can affect all ages. From corns and calluses, to fungal nail and skin conditions, what often may appear as something small and insignificant, can pose great difficulties with daily activities such as walking and exercise. Health issues such as diabetes, arthritis and poor circulation may cause foot problems but with regular care complications can be reduced.
